While the term Smart Community is inexact, a typical vision is of an IT-enabled environment that efficiently and effectively delivers public services; enables informed, proactive decision -making across all areas of government; and promotes sustainability.
Local governments – cities, counties, and regions – worldwide are seeking to develop innovative strategies to achieve that vision. PSPC’s thought leadership in this area is documented through a series of articles in American City and County magazine. We have also put these articles into action supporting cities in developing and executing smart city projects in the U.S. and SE Asia.
To be successful, any smart community initiative must be comprehensive in its scope. To that end, we have worked with clients on developing governance, policy, and operational structures to ensure that the ICT investments are properly supported and aligned with the overarching community vision.
Integrating a Digital Inclusion program into a smart community initiative will ensure that the entire community will have the access to the tools necessary to succeed in the 21st economy. We have a strong background in developing and implementing these programs; building public-private partnerships; and are experts in broadband grants.
We would be happy to discuss implementing your smart community vision – contact us today for a free consultation.
