While the term Smart Community is inexact, a typical vision is of an IT-enabled environment that efficiently and effectively delivers public services; enables informed, proactive decision -making across all areas of government; and promotes sustainability.
Local governments – cities, counties, and regions – worldwide are seeking to develop innovative strategies to achieve that vision.
